Merry Christmas to all our newsletter readers,
At this special time of the year, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you for purchasing our books, donating to mission projects, and viewing the videos and PowerPoint presentations on our website as well as on YouTube. We also appreciate our newsletter readers, some of whom use it for Bible study groups, the many e-mails, letters and calls that come in to encourage, request prayer, or just to visit.
It occurred to us that many of you who order books may not know where your money goes. All profit from books sales-both digital and hard copy-go to fund a variety of mission projects which change from year to year as need arises. Dr. Oliver takes no salary at all.
This year, we have participated, with your help, in several projects. We supplied walls, doors and windows for the church in Atchotis, Guatemala, which we built last year. We matched funds with Worldwide Missions in the Philippines to purchase a new van for their outreach use. We purchased white boards for a Kogi Indian School in Colombia, as well as purchasing a lot for the Kogi Bible School. We partnered with Gospel Outreach to send multiple media boxes and two laptops to several missionaries on the field. We also gave to help pay for pre-natal and hospital expenses for a missionary couple in Mexico who had no insurance. These are just some of the projects you have been involved with through your book purchases and donations.
We would ask that you pray with us as we continue to gather funds to build a church in North Korea. This has been a dream of Dr. Oliver's ever since he stood on the 38th parallel many years ago and witnessed a Snowy Egret make the crossing from South to North Korea unimpaired. We believe the gospel will make that crossing as well in the future.
